DJ Nedja (NO)

Nedja (NO) is playing at Club U-Haul 4.10.2024

Oslo-based DJ and artist Nedja, born to Tunisian and Norwegian roots, draws inspiration from the rich and diverse rhythms of house music. Her sets are a seamless fusion of Gqom, Amapiano, Kuduro, Baile Funk, and Arabic Folk, creating a sound both bold and deeply atmospheric. Known for her ability to transport listeners, Nedja’s performances are an electrifying journey, full of cultural textures and hypnotic beats.

SUINNER

suinner is an interdisciplinary artist, DJ, MC and cultural worker, known for projects concentrating on marginalized representation and radical joy. Suinner’s career covers projects as a dancer, vocalist, and performance artist, as well as space and identity oriented visual art projects that have the examination of safety and at their core. In their sets, the listener may hear afro house, amapiano, afro/nigerian highlife, all things hiphop and r&b. They are interested in building rich atmospheres, sliding from feeling to feeling, emotion to another.

TRABELSI

trabelsi is a Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and MC. trabelsi is passionate about BIPOC queer liberation and joy, a good phat beat, and emotions. As a DJ, they are known for mixing SWANA sounds and remixes of Arabic classics, Afro-Life, house, and amapiano. With a busy DJ schedule recently, they have played this summer in Ruisrock festival, Ääniwalli, and Tanner, to name a few. For the Tunisian-Finnish DJ, delving into the rich tapestry of SWANA means also exploring their cultural heritage through music and reconnecting with the sounds and songs of their childhood.

WEKESA

DJ Wekesa has been playing for over 7 years in the Helsinki Scene and is one of the founding members of Club U-Haul. In their sets they play amapiano, afrobeats, dancehall, hip hop, r&b and queer anthems. Wekesa is a socially skillful dj, who can read the dancefloor while serving surprises and their own strong artistic view. They have worked over 10 years for the dancehall scene, bringing the music and culture to Helsinki and Finland. Throughout their DJ career they have given their input for safer space practices to the Helsinki club scene by producing events like Mellow Yellow Club and Club U-Haul.
