The Last Tropicalé: Frankosun & The Family (live)

This is it, the last Tropicalé for now. The night has been a monthly club since 2018 where djs and bands represent their work and interests in dance music from around the world. It has been a big pleasure to see what great talents we have here, and to have them perform for the fantastic crowd in my favorite spot in town, Siltanen.
A big thank you to everyone who has been in any way part of these nights, it has been memorable.

Frankosun and the Family is a mighty afrobeat orchestra based in Helsinki, Finland. The band was founded by Oladele Franck Koumolou, who was born in the voodoo heartland - the Republic
of Benin. Frankosun and the Family mixes the 1970s and 1980s afrobeat of Benin and Nigeria with relaxed elements of afrofunk and afrorock, echoes of Finnish folk music as well as rhythms from
the Nago tribe of Benin. This music is designed to capture the mind, soul and body of listeners worldwide.
